Cars that I looove to own!
I like small cars very much. I like their design and looks . But not every small car is good. I love the cars listed below. As a matter of fact, none is available in India.
1. New Beetle
It’s been my all time favorite car. I love the new design of the beetle and the curves it has.
It doesn’t have any edges. It comes first in the list of my favorite cars. The design of the new Beetle is refreshing from the old one and looks like a kid of two old Beetles
In 1998 Volkswagen launched the New Beetle, designed by J Mays and Freeman Thomas at the company’s California design studio. At the 2005 North American International Auto Show, the Volkswagen New Beetle Ragster concept car was introduced. It was supposed to be a preview of the future design of the New Beetle.
2. smart
I like the Smart from Daimler AG. It’s very small and cute. I saw this car in The Pink Panther (The character played by Steve Martin - Clouseau owns the car) for the first time and fell in love with it.
It is short enough to allow it to be parked “nose-in” where a conventionally sized car would have to parallel park. The project idea was originally started by Swiss watch manufacturer Swatch and was nicknamed the “Swatchmobile”. The name SMART is an acronym for Swatch
Mercedes ART.
There are other models like smart forFour, smart Roadster etc., but nothing beats smart forTwo. I like smart forTwo only. The fortwo is the original smart model, launched in 1998 as City Coupe.
The smart fortwo’s length of only 8 ft allows as many as three of the vehicles to be parked in the space normally taken by one standard-length car. One of the key concepts of the smart was its interchangeable body panels — a single car could be any number of colours or designs, or even a mix of different panel sets. Since the product’s launch, sales have surpassed production and the reservation program continues as a “wait list” program
3. MINI Cooper S Convertible
BMW manufactures this car. You may remember Mr. Bean’s old car! It’s the new version of the same car. But I don’t like the hatchback.I only love the convertible in BMW Mini. As a matter of fact, it was included in many movies including The Italian Job.We used to have a small die-cast model of the MINI hatch at home.
As I already stated, I like small cars. Though design-wise I don’t like Reva (the Indian made electric car) much, but I like its appearance. The rear look is better than the front look. Similarly, I like the new Fiat Nuovo 500 sometimes. I don’t like the new Tata Nano. The design looks like it’s been stolen from Zen Estilo and made small! I also like some other models of the regular cars but the cars listed above top the ones I’d like to own ![]()

Hey, nice taste. I love the mini too. but what about the Ford SportKA? I love it too.
What’s wrong with smart Roadster? I just love mine.
The smart is ok, but I dont think I like it that much. May be is something to do with the Pink Panther and Inspector Cloussou!
@Motoringmalawi: I love the Ford StreetKA more than the SportKA. And yeahh..
smart car may not be liked by some. And we can’t rule out the possibility of Pink Panther that you stated
@PeteH: I like smart Roadster too but it kinda looks similar to the Porsche designs.
R u guys from India? Tell me about the Tata Nano. Is it really worth it?
Tata Nano was shown to general public during the 9th annual Auto Expo on January 10, 2008 in New Delhi. The front view of this Rs. 100,000/- car is similar to Maruti Suzuki’s Zen Estilo. Find out about the Nano on Wikipedia.
