If you’ve sent in a mail to me regarding Saawan Design Studio, you’d have received a mail in reply with the above banner. It consists my logo -my Design Studio’s identity. So, what is so good about this logo? Why did I design this? This post is intended to answer the above questions.

For any company, its naming and branding is very important to make it stand apart from other competitors. Once branding makes it different, it’s the quality and service of the company that really build the brand further. So, for me, it started with naming of my online entity. It was very simple as I wanted something on my name and it should be a design based entity. So, I called it ‘Saawan Design Studio’ before mulling over just ‘Design Studio’ and ‘Saawan Design’.

Then comes the logo. I tried to make different logos for the studio. The final logo that I created is something what you get to see on the website now. It’s the imagination of a kid drawn on a textured paper. It’s a simple flower drawn with crayons. I feel that imagination evolves right from our childhood. It grows and grows and makes us what we’re now. To express his imagination is the first step in any individual’s life and doing so he/she will pave way to his/her creativity to bloom. So, imagination and creativity have a close relation. And kids are very good at being creative and getting their imagination out on paper. The skewed square represents the expanding and spreading of creativity. As my studio is very close to creativity, I felt the logo is very apt.

The font of Saawan is created by me and it is my own logo.
