Weekend Visit to Guindy National Park

Y’day, me and my brother went to Guindy National Park. I’m utterly scared of snakes and guess what? There’s a snake park which showcases some 20 to 30 varieties of snakes! They were kept in glass cages. Even then my mind was thinking something akin to a scene in Harry Potter and The Sorcerer’s Stone wherein a Boa Constrictor comes out of its cage.

Anyway, it was a great visit as we got to see the lazy crocs (of various types) lying in the pool. Also, it’s my first time to see foxes, hyenas and crocs (also those scary snakes which were lying lifeless in their respective cages). There was also a demonstration by a guy who was showing snakes as a tape about the snakes was being played behind in English, Hindi & Tamil. It was not interesting for me as it was already close to 4 pm.

I hope to see the Madras Crocodile Bank Trust also.
