t.A.T.u’s New Movie and Album!
Fans have been eagerly waiting for the Russian pop duo to hit with a new album ever since their last album won many accolades. And now, the wait is over. t.A.T.u’s releasing their new album Upravleniye Otbrosami (Russian) 0n December 25. It’s English version is titled ‘Waste Management‘ (The album title sounds different like Shakira’s Laundry Service) and slated for a early 2008 release along with their movie.
Yep… don’t get surprised. Lena and Yulia are shooting for a movie named ‘Finding t.A.T.u‘. Waste Management is expected to be released as the soundtrack for this upcoming film. Another thing is that the movie stars Mischa Barton of The O.C. fame! The movie is based on the Russian novel named t.A.T.u. Come Back by Aleksey Mitrofanov.
I felt that their sophomore effort Dangerous and Moving lacked the energy of their debut album. I loved the track Gomenasai (which was the third single from the album). Their compilation album The Best had the track Craving (I Only Want What I Can’t Have) (Bollywood Remix) which was catchy and melodious. But, their debut album 200 KmpH in the Wrong Lane was absolutely fabulous and I even like the Russian version of the album - 200 Po Vstrechnoy.
The new single Beliy Plaschik (White Robes) is really interesting and the video is a bit controversial (as always!). The English version is not yet out, so listen to the Russian version for the meantime. The video was released on November 29th, 2007 and showed their new controversial theme including a touch of similarity to concentration camps.
