A ridiculous song!
Ok.. first of all, I love Akon’s music. I liked Lonely, Trouble, Belly Dancer (Bananza), Mama Africa (One of my faves!), Smack That and I Wanna Love You. But, this song - Sorry, Blame It On Me - is a really ridiculous one!
The tune’s quite similar to Akon’s signature tunes but it’s irritating enough that whenever it plays on my iPod, I press the next button. I felt that the beginning itself has been ruined. Looking from the beginning of the lyrics, it shoulda been stopped at the 4th line. But, he sings the 5th line which isn’t only ridiculous but irritatingly funny! And the things they don’t want to take responsibility for
And then Akon starts pouring down his apologies to the concerned in the entire song. He tries to blame the people who’re responsible for the deeds but as if he’s a monk he says that he’d take the blame on him.
Her daddy should never let her out that young (!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!)
He apologizes to Club Zen, Gwen Stefani, his mother, his wife etc. And the really funny part is the line below!

This is where he tries to be the monk. So, all his fans can create any problem and eventually blame it on him!
Anyway, the tune’s a bit catchy one though I felt boring after a few listens! It’s available on the re-release of his sophomore album ‘Konvicted’.
