Brian McFadden - Like Only A Woman Can

This is an Ireland only single and it reached top on the irish singles chart. I loved McFadden’s debut album - Irish Son and ‘Real To Me’, ‘Irish Son’ and ‘Almost Here’ are my favorite singles from that album.

‘Almost Here’ featured Delta Goodrem (an Australian singer) whom Brian McFadden fell in love with and the current single is about her. The song is very romantic and mushy. One can feel the ‘Westlife’ feel to it.

Jordin Sparks - Tattoo

The latest American Idol 6 winner seems promising. I really love her voice and her first song ‘This Is My Now’ performed during the grand finale of the American Idol 6 was awesome.

‘Tattoo’ is the first official single from her debut album. The lyrics are about a relationship that is ending as the title refers to memories from the relationship that will be etched on her heart “just like a tattoo”. The lyrics seem to target a younger audience.

I really love the hook and the background chorus.

Rahat Fateh Ali Khan - Jag Soona Soona Laage (Ft. Richa Sharma)

Richa Sharma is the one singer I always liked in Bollywood. And my latest favorite is Rahat Fateh Ali Khan after hits like ‘Jiya Dhadak Dhadak’ (Kalyug), ‘Naina’ (Omkara), ‘Bol Na Halke Halke’ (Jhoom Barabar Jhoom). And for Om Shanti Om, both these singers come together to create another hit! Richa Sharma introduces the song with her vocals and Rahat takes on from there. It’s a heartbreak song with melancholy and melody interwoven into its structure.

Apart from these I’m rediscovering the magic of Carl Douglas’s Kung Fu Fighting (A 1974 Hit) while listening to Saawariya, Backstreet Boys’ New Album (Unbreakable) and Sugababes’ Change album (It’s quite hot!)
