Songs of ‘Saawariya’ rock!

Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s back! And as usual the music of his movie rocks! The promos of ‘Saawariya’ are quite colorful and reminiscing of his previous hit movies ‘HDDCS’ and ‘Devdas’. Especially the scenes wherein Sonam runs and hits the wall with a stick and dust from the wall falls down! I loved the design and glitter of themovie title and the way the promos (posters and stuff) are designed. It’s the first movie which is produced by a Hollywood studio (Columbia Pictures).

Music of ‘Saawariya’ is composed by Monty Sharma who did the background music of ‘Devdas’ and ‘Black’. I’m really lovin’ the music.

The title song sung by Shail Hada is a great listen. Its reprise also is good. But my favorite on the album is ‘Yoon Shabnami’ by Parthiv Gohil. It’s quite soothing and the beat is enthralling. After that, I loved ‘Jab Se Tere Naina’ by Shaan. ‘Sawar Gayi’, ‘Masha Allah’ and ‘Daras Bina Nahin Chain’ will catch your attention after repeated listening. Especially ‘Daras Bin..’ - Its music is very good but takes time to get on with it. ‘Jaan-E-Jaan’ and ‘Chhabeela’ are good but not as good as the other compositions. My least favorite song on the album is ‘Pari’. ‘Thode Badmash’ was composed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali! Hmm… this one also takes time to catch your attention.

I give out 4 outta 5 stars. On the whole, the sound of the album is good and fresh.
