Watching TV Shows on my iPod!

I love watching videos on my iPod. That 2.5” LCD screen and bass pumping earphones together are like a small personal theater just for me to watch the movies I want to. These days I’m hooked to two TV shows: Heroes and Prison Break.

When Heroes first started, I thought NBC was airing some show which features the stories of people who fought for USA or something like that. That was my first impression. Later, my opinion was changed when I started watching it on Star World. But my routine didn’t allow me to watch it regularly so I missed on some episodes. Heroes is such a series that if you miss one episode, you may get confused with the story (though there would be a recap in the beginning of each episode but consider the small details involved). I used to miss two to three together. So, It happened that I downloaded the episodes onto my iPod.

Also, I watched until 13 episodes of Prison Break Season 2 in my psenti sem and picked up from there recently!

Heroes (May contain spoilers)

heroes2.jpgThis is a show about evolving/evolved humans who have different powers. It is similar to X-men comics but the way it is treated is entirely different. It is more closer to the real world and never seems to be far-fetched except for the inhuman powers that the characters possess.

My favorite character on the show is obviously Hiro Nakamura (played by Masi Oka). His actions are puerile and at the same time he happens to be serious about what he does. I never thought that Peter (Milo Ventimiglia) would become such a powerful character after all what they showed in the first few episodes. For some reason, I didn’t like his disposition in the episode ‘Five Years Gone’. He was posing to be Neo from The Matrix trilogy!

The symbols, the mystery and the Company - all these remind me of Lost, the cult series which has been receiving low TRP’s since its 3rd season.

NBC launched Heroes 360 experience which lets us know more about the show and the characters. NBC created Hiro’s blog, PrimaTech Paper blog etc., to make the show more effective. Read more about it here. Each week that the show airs NBC releases a Heroes Webcomic. The comics give additional character background and plot information not shown in the television episodes. You may visit heroeswiki for more info.

Prison Break (Season 2)

pb_promo.jpgPrison Break provided a staple diet for my psenti-sem and a lot were hooked onto the show. Season 2 took a break when Fox announced a two month hiatus for the show. It resumed on January 22.

The second season’s charm was slightly subdued but it’s still a delight to watch. The surprises in season 2 are interesting and I love the series. I’m waiting for Season 3 to unveil in August.
